Flood Relief Fund
Here at LifePointe Church we have established a flood relief fund to help aid victims of this natural disaster. The need is great! The more we can do to assist with the rehabilitative phase of relief efforts the more people we can encourage, help feed, provide shelter for, while providing care and hope in such difficult times as these.
As most are aware, these floods have devastated the lives of many here in our home state of Iowa, particularly in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Coralville and other communities at large. We are collecting monetary donations, which will be channeled through the LifePointe Church Flood Relief Fund (LPCFR). The Iowa City-Coralville community have suffered widespread and unprecedented damage as a result of the historic flood of 2008 and we want to be able to help.
For those wishing to support LifePointe’s efforts to help with the local struggles of the community to recover from flood-related damage not covered by insurance or other resources, we encourage contributions to the LifePointe Flood Relief Fund. Many within our own congregation have been adversely affected by recent events, some being displaced from homes while others have lost their homes and personal items due to the raging waters.
This 2008 flood has brought massive chaos, devastation, and heartache to thousands in our area. The normality’s of life have been shifted by this tragic event. If you want to make a tax-deductible contribution towards flood relief efforts, we have several options available.
